MealPause — Terms of Use
Last updated: August 3, 2026.
These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Nesvrta LLC ("we," "us," "our"), which operates MealPause (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App on your own devices for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
2. Not medical advice & who should take care (important)
MealPause is a wellbeing and intermittent-fasting tool. It provides general information and tracking — it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and using it does not create any doctor–patient relationship. We are a technology provider, not a healthcare provider.
Fasting and dietary changes aren't right for everyone and can carry real risks. Please talk to a qualified health professional before starting or changing any fasting or eating routine. In particular, MealPause is not intended for people who:
- have, or have had, an eating disorder (such as anorexia, bulimia, or orthorexia);
- are underweight (BMI below 18.5);
- are pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive;
- are under 18 years of age;
- have Type 1 diabetes or another condition needing strict dietary or glucose control — unless under direct medical supervision.
You use the App at your own risk and are responsible for your own health decisions. Stop and seek advice if you feel unwell. Any advanced metrics you log (glucose, ketones, electrolytes, body measurements) are for personal reference only — they are not medical monitoring, diagnosis, or alerts, and must not be used to make medical decisions.
3. Your data
Your data is stored on your device. You are responsible for backing it up (the App provides an export/backup tool). We are not responsible for data lost due to device loss, deletion, or failure to keep a backup.
4. Subscriptions (if offered)
If you purchase a subscription: it is billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play; it auto-renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; and you manage or cancel it in your App Store / Google Play account settings. Prices may vary by region and may change with notice. Applicable app-store terms (including Apple's standard EULA) also apply.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the App: no reverse engineering, tampering, or use that violates the law or these Terms.
6. Intellectual property
The App, its name, logo, design, and content are owned by Nesvrta LLC and protected by law. These Terms don't transfer any ownership to you.
7. No warranty
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nesvrta LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any health outcomes, arising from your use of the App.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Montgomery County, Maryland.
